Tenuta Sovestro is a family-run farm, winery, and agriturismo in the hills of Tuscany, less than 1 km from the medieval towers of San Gimignano. Sixteen rooms, a panoramic pool, wine tastings held where the wine is actually made, and 15 hectares of vineyards and olive groves worked directly by us for over 40 years.

Our land, our story

The Failli family has been working this land since 1962. What started as an agricultural estate has grown, slowly and deliberately, into what Tenuta Sovestro is today: we produce Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, Chianti Colli Senesi, and extra virgin olive oil.

Since 2017, we have been caring for this estate with the same approach that has guided our family’s work in hospitality for over four decades: respect for places, attention to people, and a genuine love for what we do.
The land around the estate, the vines, the olive groves, the open hillsides, these are not a backdrop. They are what we work every day.

Inside the estate, we have created our agriturismo. Sixteen rooms, each with its own character, spread across the historic buildings of the tenuta.

Elegant, quiet, cleaned daily and different from one another in a way that feels intentional, not accidental.

Outside, nature takes over. The pool looks out over the hills. The grounds are open and peaceful. Guests who arrive planning to visit San Gimignano often end up spending more time here than they expected.
We are easy to reach: a short drive or a 30-minute walk to San Gimignano, with free on-site parking and a shuttle available.

Siena and Florence are both reachable as day trips.

We are a winery as much as we are an agriturismo. In our dedicated tasting room, we run tastings built around stories, not just glasses. Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti Colli Senesi, local olive oil. From the land to the table

Tenuta Sovestro started as a farm. That is still what it is. The wine you taste here comes from our vineyards. The olive oil comes from our trees, cold-pressed and unfiltered to keep its character. The products are made in small quantities, tied to the harvest and the season.
